Be Brave. Lose the Beige

February 21, 2014 By Liz Kitchens 2 Comments

I’m kind of a Growing Bolder groupie and am very excited at the prospect of blogging for a site devoted to the idea, “It’s not about Age, it’s about Attitude”.

I am the founder of Be Brave. Lose the Beige, a blog and website specializing in issues facing Lady Boomers, women of the Baby Boomer generation.  I’m working on a book entitled, Be Brave. Lose the Beige, A “Coloring” Book for Living Outside the Lines.

I believe Baby Boomer women have lived a significant percentage of our adult years within very prescribed “lines”.  (At 60, I definitely count among this population of women) As Lady Boomers face the prospect of retirement or transition into another chapter of life, Be Brave. Lose The Beige, hopefully, can serve as a guide for encouraging women to begin living outside some of those lines.  Although I’m pretty crazy about color, (all colors, the more the better) losing the beige is not just about color  it’s about empowering the spirit.  Be Brave. Lose the Beige is a life choice.  As Lady Boomers, we run the risk of becoming “beige” as years of obligations and responsibilities drain the color from our lives and we lose sight of our personal dreams and aspirations.

So…welcome to the world of Be Brave. Lose the Beige.  I’m trying to create an online Lady Boomer community.  Each week I will post tips for living in color. Click here to join my mailing list – http://tinyurl.com/m8qtefu or visit our website at http://www.bebravelosethebeige.com.
